July 23, 2009 - Comic Con Quantum Quest News - First articles from San Diego Comic Con panel with new images and more information from interviews with the cast and crew. Hayden voices the character Jammer, the solar-surfing proton.
First Look at Quantum Quest - Images
"The film is made entirely using CGI, but all the space imagery is based on real imagery from NASA, especially from the Cassini mission. In fact the Cassini spacecraft is a character in the film. Although the project has been in development for a decade, production on the art started in earnest in the last couple of years, to make use of the latest real imagery from NASA."
Comic Con 2009: Quantum Quest is Still Potentially Awesome
"At this year's panel, featuring Bob Picardo, Doug Jones and Janina Gavankar, Kloor announced that the movie will see wide release in February 2010 and will include actual Cassini images, including Enceladus and Titan."
QQ Comic Con Panel (Geek Tyrant)
"Quantum Quest is presented as a dynamic story, a conflict between The Core--light and the stars, voiced by William Shatner--and the Void--emptiness and antimatter, voiced by Mark Hamill. The Void existed before the big bang and wants to destroy the Universe by destroying humans. (If humans don't exist there's no one to observe the universe and it basically doesn't exist in The Voids rationale.) The main character is a photon named Dave, voiced by Chris Pine, who's forced out of the sun to save the Cassini spacecraft and embarks on a journey through the solar system."

July 17, 2009 - Site Update - From the Webmiss - I've been correcting the code on the site for the last couple of days to fix problems showing up in Firefox browsers and I'll be checking all the pages on the site in the coming days. It's mostly cosmetic. I do all the coding for the site myself and I have mostly basic html knowledge but I'm learning as I go. If some pages weren't showing up correctly in the last few days, it was because I was messing with things but it should be okay now. The site is best viewed in IE but I hope the Firefox corrections will trickle down to other browsers as well.
As always, your suggestions and comments are appreciated. Please email me if you see any problems with the site. Thanks.

July 9, 2009 - Shattered Glass on IFC - You can catch Shattered Glass on the Independent Film Chanel this month. Hayden Christensen plays Stephen Glass in this biographical and critically acclaimed film directed by Billy Ray (Breach, State of Play). Director Billy Ray has a knack for realism in his films which usually deal with involving character studies. Shattered Glass examines the journalist who fabricated more than half his articles while working for the New Republic. Hayden's absorbing portrayal of Stephen Glass makes what could have been ordinary completely hard to resist. It's hard to look away from the story as you watch Glass and his life slowly but inevitably fall apart. July 1, 2009 - Factory Girl Style - Edie Sedgwick was a style icon of the 60's. Film style and costume design brought the times to life in the movie Factory Girl starring Sienna Miller, Hayden Christensen and Guy Pearce. Here's some of the fun jewelry worn by Sienna in the movie that you can add to your own jewelry collection. Steve Sasco Designs
"Steve Sasco Designs' Factory Girl Collection are inspired by the movie "Factory Girl". A movie based on the life of young socialite, one of Andy Warhol's "superstars" who was famous for her "shoulder duster" earrings. Steve Sasco Designs was the jewelry designer for the movie, creating earrings worn by Sienna Miller."

July 1, 2009 - Hidden Gem: Factory Girl - I love this review of Facotry Girl. When the movie was first released the reviews were very mixed and some downright trashed it. As a movie on a strictly entertainment level it is very underrated. It may have ended up a little too commercialized to be called an arthouse film and yet it still retains an indie charm and evokes the 60's era with accurate authenticity due to George Hickenlooper's filming style. The characters always seemed pitch perfect. Though Hayden had to modify his performance during the editing process because of legal pressures, his portrayal of "the musician" still remains a bright spot in the film and a very cool performance.
Enjoy the entire review at Female First UK but here are the quotes about Hayden from the article.
"Edie Sedgwick (Sienna Miller) is a spoilt little rich girl who is running from the past that haunts her. In a bid to further her art career she heads for New York City.
Here she meets Andy Warhol (Guy Pearce), who craves fame and attention, and with the beautiful Edie on his arm he gets what he wants. As the drug culture explodes Edie embraces it until she finds herself caught between two men Warhol and a musician (Hayden Christensen)."
"Hayden Christensen has the most interesting role. He is labelled in the credits as just "the musician" but he is playing the role of Bob Dylan. However the fact that the film implies that Dylan played a hand in Edie's downfall angered the singer and due to legal pressures all references to him were moved from the film. So sadly this key relationship to Edie in the film is now not much more than a nameless cameo."
"Christensen's character provides sanctuary and safety for Edie from Warhol's aggressive puppetering. Christensen gives a great performance as he slowly moves away from his Star Wars tag."
"In all Factory Girl is a tragic story of a young girl who placed her trust in a man who used and betrayed her, playing a huge part in her downfall. But the real strength of this movie is the superb casting with Sienna Miller and Hayden Christensen in particular producing career boosting performances."
